About Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Disney’s’ Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe resort and overlooks a wildlife park inhabited by over 200 species of African birds and wildlife including zebras, giraffes and gazelles, and is less than 5 minutes drive from the Animal Kingdom 

This amazing resort hotel offers you the chance to experience Africa in the middle of Disney where many animals and birds roam free on four picturesque savannas, the main one being 30-acres. Many rooms overlook the beautiful savannah’s, from which you can spot the resort’s amazing animals, all of which roam free in their natural environment

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge offers great facilities one of which is the kids club, Simba’s Cubhouse, (for ages 3 – 12, charges apply) which allows the parents to have some quality time on their own, day and night.

Weather

Florida in the summer runs from June through to September with average temperatures ranging between 27°C in June and September and 28°C in July and August (hottest months of the year reaching highs of 33°C). If you choose to visit Florida in the summer, be sure to pick a room that is air-conditioned.

The winter months, December, January and February are the by far the coolest months. You’ll be feeling an average temperature of about 16°C. It does rise to 22°C to 23°C.
