About Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is where guest can relive all the fun, fads and fashions of the 20th century from giant jukeboxes to huge yo-yos, the fun and vibrant theme takes a fond look back through the decades; with so much to showcase, Disney’s Pop Century Resort currently covers the Classic Years: 1950s–1990s. There are 2,880 rooms which will sleep up to 4 guests plus 1 child under 3 in a cot. Once fully completed with both Classic Years and Legendary Years, the resort will have 5,760 rooms, 20 (4 story) buildings, 6 pools and 8 courtyards. 

The resort has three pools, one main pool, the Hippy Dippy Pool where kids can splash for hours and two smaller, quieter pools one in the 50’s and the other in the 90’s area of the resort.

Things to Do

The Computer Pool at Disney's Pop Century Resort will be closed for refurbishment from late October 2016 through early January 2017. However, the Hippy Dippy Pool will remain available for your enjoyment.

MagicBands are issued to guests staying at one of the Disney Hotels, whereas cards (Disney tickets) are issued to all off-site guests. Off-site guests have the option to purchase a MagicBand in the Parks if they wish. It is worth noting however, that there are no additional benefits to the MagicBands versus the cards for guests staying off-site.

Weather

Florida in the summer runs from June through to September with average temperatures ranging between 27°C in June and September and 28°C in July and August (hottest months of the year reaching highs of 33°C). If you choose to visit Florida in the summer, be sure to pick a room that is air-conditioned.

The winter months, December, January and February are the by far the coolest months. You’ll be feeling an average temperature of about 16°C. It does rise to 22°C to 23°C.
